I’m glad to hear that Jane and the children are well up. I hope you soon get better, too.
Yesterday we have been to this little lodge suited in the Bobiri Butterfly Sanctuary. What a lovely place. The host Mary just gave us a heartwarming welcome when Charles almost lost his head realizing that he left his new toy – the Pixus 2000 Canon thingie – in the back of the cab!
Lucky Charlie – the guide knew the number of the driver and he brought it back.
Slightly shocked but also overwhelmed by the Ghanaian hospitality, we started the trekking tour through the sanctuary. Those big trees are truely nature’s wonders. I have to show you pictures when we are back to make you believe.
This godgiven silence merely broken by birdsong, bugs and a slight wind has been music to my ears after passing several West-African cities, enjoying tro-tro rides and attending a football match in Kumasi. If it was not for Charles, we’d have been staying at least for one night. But I think he feared the louring woods (or the spirits the guide told us about?). And so we headed back for the ’security‘ of the Adum quarter in Kumasi.
